What we collect, and what we don't.
TowerTell measures how people move through 3D property tours so agents and developers understand which spaces hold attention. Most tours are completely unidentified. A smaller number — where an agent sent you a personal link — are attributed to you by name. This page explains both, because the difference matters.
Who we are
TowerTell LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. We provide 3D tour analytics to property developers and brokerages. You can reach us at privacy@towertell.com for any question or request in this notice.
When a developer or brokerage embeds TowerTell on their website or in their sales gallery, they decide what is collected and why — they are the data controller and we act as their processor under contract. For our own website and broker portal, we are the controller.
The two kinds of tour
1. An ordinary, unidentified tour
If you opened a tour from a public website or a shared link, we do not know who you are and we have no way to find out. We record what happened during that single visit:
- Which rooms you entered, how long you stayed, and how often you returned to each
- Your path through the space, sampled as coordinates on the floor plan
- Clicks and viewpoint changes within the tour
- How long the visit lasted, your browser language, window size, and the page that referred you
What we deliberately do not collect
No cookies. No local storage. No IP address. No device fingerprint. No advertising identifiers. Nothing is stored on your device, which is why you will never see a TowerTell cookie banner.
The identifier attached to an unidentified visit is generated fresh each time the page loads and is never reused. If you take the same tour twice, the two visits are unrelated records. We cannot link them, recognise a returning visitor, or follow anyone across websites.
2. A tour on a personal link from your agent
If an agent sent you your own link, that link carries a token identifying you. This is the case where the in-tour notice reads “your tour activity is shared with your agent.” In this situation:
- Your visits are attributed to your contact record — the name, email, and phone number your agent entered, along with their notes
- Visits are linked together over time, so your agent sees your activity across days and across properties, not just one session
- From that history we derive an interest indication — for example, which rooms held your attention and whether you have returned — which helps your agent decide what to show you and when to follow up
This is profiling in the sense meant by data protection law, and you have a specific right to object to it. See your choices below.
The AI concierge
Some tours offer an assistant that answers questions about the property. Your questions are sent to Anthropic, which generates the reply on our behalf. We keep a count of how many questions were asked, for rate limiting — we do not store the conversation itself. Please do not enter sensitive personal information into it.
Why we are allowed to do this
| What | Basis |
|---|---|
| Unidentified tour measurement | This data does not identify anyone, so data protection law generally does not apply to it. |
| Attributed tours and interest indications | Our and your agent's legitimate interest in understanding what you are looking for. We have weighed this against your privacy and you can object at any time. |
| Contact details in the agent's records | Legitimate interest in the agent's client relationship, or your consent where the agent obtained it. |
| Account and login data | Necessary to perform our contract with the brokerage or developer. |
Who else is involved
We keep the list short on purpose. Each of these processes data only to run the service:
| Provider | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication, file storage | United States |
| Vercel | Website and application hosting | United States |
| Anthropic | AI concierge responses | United States |
| Resend | Transactional email to agents | United States |
| Optional sign-in for agents | United States |
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising or cross-context behavioural advertising.
International transfers
Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with transfer restrictions, your data is transferred there under Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent approved mechanism. Write to us for a copy of the safeguards that apply.
How long we keep it
- Tour measurements: up to 24 months, then deleted or permanently aggregated into statistics that cannot be traced to any individual
- Contact records and attributed history: for as long as your agent's firm keeps you as a contact, and deleted on their instruction or yours
- Agent account data: for the life of the account, plus a short period afterwards
Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, restrict how we use it, or complain to your data protection authority. Two are worth calling out because they apply directly here:
Object to profiling
If you are on a personal link, you can tell us to stop linking your visits and building an interest picture, while still being able to view tours. We will action this without asking you to justify it.
Delete your tour history
We can erase every visit attached to you. Because unidentified visits contain nothing that points to a person, we cannot single those out — there is nothing there to find.
Email privacy@towertell.com and we will respond within one month. If the request concerns data held for a developer or brokerage, we will pass it to them and support them in answering it.
A practical note: a personal tour link identifies whoever opens it. If you forward your link, that person's browsing is recorded as yours. Please treat it as personal to you.
Security, children, and changes
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted by role, and analytics data is isolated per organisation so one client can never see another's. No personal data is exposed to the browser beyond what is needed to display your own tour.
TowerTell is a professional tool for property sales and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
If we change this notice we will update the date at the top, and tell you directly where the change is significant.
